Using words like inclusion can shut down conversations. Introducing new ethical standards in collecting practices, board engagement, volunteers, leadership changes can bring up defensiveness. This session will be a chance to talk through scenarios where your work developing inclusive practices has stalled-out due to resistance. Participants and facilitator will create a supportive space for the exchange of practical ideas that could bridge divides when not everyone agrees on the way forward.

I have been working with museums and non-profits over the last 15 years. I partner with people and teams in cultural organizations navigating internal transformation and using institutional genealogy to take action.
